Hi Friend,Welcome to this edition of the RiskBuster newsletter!

A Note from Dan

I hope this finds you enjoying what remains of summer.

Welcome to all the new subscribers! I hope you enjoy this e-zine and feel free to share it with your friends.

Yesterday was a milestone in my world. I received the first printed copies of RiskBuster and it looks absolutely amazing. I revelled for a few moments in the glow of a task achieved, until I remembered that the writing of a book is  less than 5% of the effort needed to make it successful – the other 95% is in the marketing! So I got back to work… and every time I walked past the book I thought, “Awesome!”
Yup, definitely need to get a life :-)
Many kudos to the Morgan James Publishing team for their energy and persistence in bringing the book this far.
And now, on to the marketing, getting the word out about the rapidly approaching launch of RiskBuster.
The RiskBuster book launch is scheduled for November 10, 2009. We have several partners committed to help us with the eblast, and we are looking for more! If you have an opt-in list with subscribers who have an interest in business planning and would like to help us on November 10th, please contact britta@riskbuster.com
We’re still adapting to this e-zine format and welcome any feedback you might have.

Feature Article: Things To Consider When Hiring Employees For The First Time

Recently, while visiting a bustling business, I noticed that there were too many employees onsite for the amount of work being done. Overstaffing is just one of many pitfalls an owner will encounter when positioning for growth. Left unchecked, having too many workers will quickly drain your bank account and put you out of business. There is much to learn when shifting from working solo to hiring others. This phase is a minefield for owners who have not previously managed employees. Here are a few things to consider when building your team.  Read the full article by Dan Boudreau.

Most business owners are looking for fast results but move so fast through their actions that not much is changing with their bottom line.

The only way to break through a financial ceiling is to give yourself and your business a makeover.  And it begins with your mindset, otherwise you’ll just continue to create the same results.  Even the best strategies won’t yield high profits when the person behind the business hasn’t changed the way they think and act in their business.

I’m thrilled to invite you to play with the ULTIMATE business coaching and makeover tag team – my colleagues, Jeanna Gabellini, Law of Attraction Coach, co-author of “Life Lessons for Mastering the Law of Attraction” and Wendy Hanson, Business Coach of Th e Sassy Ladies, co-author of “The Sassy Ladies Tool Kit for Start Up Businesses”.

A touch of humour…

“Doctor, you were right when you said you’d have me on my feet and walking in no time.”

“That’s good John; when did you start walking?”

“When I got your bill, I had to sell my car to pay it.”
