  • Use the Fast Track method in Chapter 7 to create a brief business plan
  • If the Fast Track method proves to be unworkable, follow the 99 steps of the RoadMap in Chapter 5 that apply to your business

If you want to buy a business, or if your market is relatively proven (for example, you have already secured sales through a contract or agreement)
  • Read any of the articles that interest you in Chapter 4
  • Use the Fast Track method in Chapter 7 to create a brief business plan
  • For any areas of your business plan requiring more detail, refer to the relevant RoadMap steps (noted in the Fast Track)

  • Use all other parts of the book as a reference

If you are a business trainer, coach or counsellor
  • Use the entire book as a reference
  • Clients can be coached using the RoadMap in Chapter 5 as a process
  • The RoadMap can be purchased separately, in hard copy or e-book format, to use as a workbook for your clients (we offer volume discounts email us at coach@riskbuster.com for details)

Tip: The RoadMap in Chapter 5 is a 99-step business planning process that works for a broad range of business planners and situations. Rarely will anyone need all 99 steps. If you are in a hurry to get your business plan done, you might try the Fast Track method in Chapter 7. Designed for experienced business owners, this method offers a quicker way to pull together a business plan. If the Fast Track method doesn’t work for you, or if the result doesn’t satisfy your banker, you can always revert to the RoadMap.
